Privacy policy
Effective October 8, 2026. We collect as little as possible and never sell personal information.
Who we are
Range & Road runs vikasauto.com, its owner tools, and the Range & Road connector for ChatGPT and Claude. Contact: vikasauto@gmail.com. This policy covers all three.
What we collect, and why

We do not collect precise location, account logins, payment details or your AI conversation history. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.
Who receives it
- Anthropic (our AI provider) receives the text of shop-introduction chats, panel photos and recall summaries needed to produce answers. It does not receive data from the ChatGPT or Claude connector.
- The local shop you are introduced to receives your shop-introduction request, by email.
- Our email provider carries those emails.
- Public data sources: your browser loads weather from the National Weather Service and recall data from NHTSA directly; the connector asks NHTSA for recalls by model and year only. None of these receive anything about you.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Range & Road in ChatGPT and Claude
The connector is read-only and needs no sign-in. Your assistant sends only the details a lookup needs; we never receive your name, account, or the rest of your conversation, and we keep no log of the requests themselves. OpenAI's or Anthropic's privacy policy covers your use of their assistant.
Your choices
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser and we will not count your visits.
- Email vikasauto@gmail.com to see, correct or delete a shop-introduction request; we act within 30 days.
- Remove the connector from ChatGPT or Claude at any time in their settings.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Our server stores only the scrambled forms and request details described above, on a private machine with restricted access.
Children
The site and connector are for vehicle owners and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it on this page.
